As Colorado’s Executive Director of the Office of eHealth Innovation
(OeHI), Carrie provides strategic leadership and coordination for health
information technology, health information exchange, and data sharing
across Colorado. As the Executive Director of OeHI, Carries leads
the eHealth Commission and implementation of Colorado’s Health IT
Roadmap. At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Carrie led the
Governor’s Innovation Response Task Force focused on advancing
Telehealth/Telemedicine efforts. She continues to advance
telehealth/telemedicine, as well as, all health IT efforts focused on
reducing health disparities and increasing access to high quality health
care in Colorado. Prior to this assignment she led numerous healthcare
projects of varying size and complexity, significantly reducing time and
costs associated with implementing and adopting health information
systems and applications. Carrie has over 15 years of healthcare
experience in startups, not-for-profit organizations, health care
systems, and government. Notable roles for Carrie include: Colorado’s
Health IT Coordinator, Instructional Designer and Solution Lead at The
Breakaway Group, A Xerox Corporation, Executive Director of Global
Health Connections, a local 501C-3, and Tissue Recovery Coordinator at
Donor Alliance, a local organ and tissue donation procurement
organization. Carrie holds an MBA-Health Administration, Master of
Science, and Bachelor of Science from the University of Colorado at
Denver.
